Shafiqul Alam Shahin began his journalism career in the mid-1990s by writing for Janonetra and Ajker Kagoj. Later, he regularly contributed to the national dailies Amar Desh and The Daily Ittefaq. He served twice as General Secretary and twice as President of the Purbadhala Press Club. Earlier, he founded the Purbadhala Reporters Club and served as its President for many years.
In 2016, he launched a weekly and online publication named Purbakantho, which continues to operate as an online platform.
Shahin is not only a journalist but also an enthusiast of technology. After completing his graduation, he began his professional career as a web developer.
